Week in Review: Accomplishments and Progress
This past week, the contractor successfully completed the removal of the cofferdam at the east pier and finalized the backfilling around the west pier. The contractor also began removing the cofferdam at the west pier and initiated the removal of the causeway and excavation for the east abutment.

Additionally, the contractor anticipates starting the installation of rip rap at the east abutment, which will help prevent erosion, and driving the shell piles for the east abutment to support future structural work.
